About Me

I am a painter and sculptor living in New York City. My inspirations include myth, history, and poetry. I like playing with puns and symbols, often working in series, experimenting with a theme until a certain mood is created. I like the element of surprise.

A lot of these images just come to me; sometimes it's the title I hear first, and the image comes out of that. Content is only part of it; most important is the love of the materials, paint or clay, color, texture, form, pattern, all that painting and sculpture entail. The possibilities seem endless, so I continue to explore.
